A NEW EUROPEAN PROJECT IS BORN : IT IS CALLED SCORES AND THE CLUB NATACIO BANYOLES WILL BE ITS COORDINATOR

The opening of the SCORES (Developing Skills & Competences Resulting in Employability Through Sport in Europe) project took place in Sant Cugat on the 24th and 25th of January.
The project belongs to the Erasmus + Sport line. It attempts to go one step further than the recent ICDC (focused on dual careers and their academic side) and seeks to detect and enhance skills and abilities in sports during these careers, with a special focus on the workplace

The mission of the SCORES project is to allow young Europeans to improve their chances of finding work through sports, not only during their sports career, but also after that. The project has an estimated duration of two and a half years and aimed at helping to detect the abilities and competencies that are acquired during the sports career of the athletes. These abilities and competencies can be used by athletes to find a job before and during the transition at the end of their sports career.

Coordinating organization of the project is Banyoles Swimming Club.
Project partners are: Sant Cugat Creix, the Finnish academy Tampere Sports, the Bulgarian Levski-Sport for All club, the University of Amsterdam of Applied Sciences, the European platform for Sports Innovation and the Modena Town Hall.
